Garden Management
We support gardens in both the countryside and the city. From pub gardens, to community spaces, to rooftop gardens in the city, when there’s a garden, there’s a way. And if there’s no garden, well…we’ll fix that.

Historic Building Consultancy
We offer consultation and advice for the sensitive repair and renovation of historic garden structures. This includes repointing and repairing of brick walls, advice on how and where to source the appropriate materials.

Meet Alison
The face and founder behind Flower & Flint.
I see my role as being an advocate for the garden landscape I am working in.
I have a keen appreciation for external green spaces set in traditionally built environments and recognise the positive effect that these places once restored can have on our well-being and quality of life. Gardens are more than an amenity; they are a necessity! The power of nature in whichever environment you live in can be restorative in many ways.
The garden is an art form. It expresses ideas about what we value, what we dream of and what we think is beautiful. Gardens can be mirrors of ourselves. Enriching the designed space with appropriate planting, an eye for fine detail and innovative management of the finished project will keep your garden special for many years.

Testimonials
“Alison designed a scheme that was sympathetic to the house and its environment. The plans reflected the elements that we wanted to achieve with added moments of joy that elevated the whole space”
“Alison is very enthusiastic and when working in the garden has lots of creative ideas & great vision. She also takes into account your own preferences & thoughts and works with you to achieve the best result for you & your garden. Alison is extremely hardworking and I am glad to have her continuing to help and advice.”
“Alison transformed a carpet of bindweed to a glorious tapestry of plants magically complementing the environment where I live. I really enjoyed the creative design process working one to one with Alison, she carefully listened and was able to create a garden with seasonal vitality, colour and texture. I have a beautiful garden I can maintain myself without too much trouble. When I draw back the curtains in the morning I am so happy to see my beautiful garden it just lifts my spirits and I know its going to be a good day!”
“Alison is a highly qualified Garden Designer who also has Diploma in Restoration of Historical Buildings so she is very knowledgeable and thorough but also very pleasant and approachable with a sunny disposition. She was very helpful in rebuilding an old wall around an ornamental pond in our garden but she was just as happy to carry out much smaller planting jobs”
“Alison created a lovely mixed bed of small shrubs for us using a variety of plants which really complimented each other in shape and colour. She had some great ideas and was very easy to work with”
“Alison has turned my garden from a steep dangerous slope to a manicured terrace. The planting is formal as requested and the job was performed on time and on budget. I am delighted with the garden which others have expressed their amazement in the transformation.”
“Alison has been looking after all our planting at The George Inn for the past four years. This includes all window boxes and troughs as well as boarders surrounding the car park. Our customers are forever commenting on how unique the planting is and not the usual petunia hanging baskets as seen in so many pubs today. Her skills are wide ranging, from design, to brickwork on a listed building. Alison thinks outside the box and we as a business are delighted with all that she has taken on.”
